In 2 Timothy 1:3 Paul says “I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers” (The Holy Bible, 1994). According to him in this passage, we need to and will worship God not because we have to but because He is good and by serving Him it is like thanking Him for all the things that He has done for us. Not getting into any kind of false teaching and that we need to be aware of it while serving God (Schenck, 2010). Again Paul thanks God in 1 Timothy 1:12 where he says “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service” (The Holy Bible, 1994).
